Judy Jisun Myung

Jisun is a theatre artist and musician. On the side, she has also worked as a translator and interpreter for many years. Most of her translation/interpretation works are related to music, fine arts, theater, humanity studies, and religeous studies. She holds a BA in French from Ewha Womans University and an MFA in Theatre for Youth from Arizona State University. Her research interests include food as performance art, authenticity and identity, and Korean women diaspora in the Americas.

She is thrilled to introduce Zitkála-Šá’s amazing writings to Korean readers. She hopes her background as a performance artist helps her bring liveliness and vivaciousness of the original text to its translation in the Korean language!
