[Nobody: Nobody: Me: ___: Essays and Thoughts on Being a Black Woman Like Me] with Maria Smith
The world is a mess, and I am just trying to survive. As a 20-something Black woman in America, life is very interesting and this collection contains a fraction of my thoughts, epiphanies, and reflections from the life I have lived thus far and the things I am witnessing in real-time. I am not speaking on behalf of all Black women, just myself. If other Black women—and people in general—so happen to relate to my perspective, that is a plus. For now, this collection is a declaration of self in a world that is always trying to erase the individual. If it does nothing else, this collection is meant to affirm that I am here and doing my best with what I've got.
